Environment and Biodiversity References

Biodiversity means having as wide a range of different species as possible. Maintaining biodiversity is an important part of using the environment in a sustainable way. It’s important that our built environment does not cause the loss of biodiversity and so it needs to make space for nature.

Cornwall Council have produced a Supplementary Planning Document on Biodiversity that can inform the Neighbourhood Plan:

Cornwall Wildlife Trust have also produced and informative Wildlife Resource Map : Calstock Parish [Wildlife Resource Map 2014]

The ‘Magic Map’ Tool is also helpful: Magic Map
